Cups and Conversation

Newer to Pequea and avid sports fans (find out which teams they root for. Hint: not Philly teams), Garrett and Abby Shondelmyer share what the Lord has been teaching them recently. Keep reading for important announcements for this week. Get to meet this young couple on Cups and Conversation with Clint.

Connecting Idea- Send a small care package, or at least a card, to someone who is elderly or shut in. Contact the church office if you would like some names and addresses of those within our church family who need encouragement.

Bible Memory- This week's Scripture memory passage is James 1:9-11 in the ESV. Learning from the same Bible version will help us recite it together on Sunday mornings! Remember to review the previous weeks' verses as well.

Firm Foundations- Check in this evening, August 26, for the final installment of the Firm Foundations series. Tonight's question is perhaps the most asked question by those who are not believers in Jesus, "Do All Paths Lead to the Same God?" Joe Zimmerman will discuss why the argument that all roads lead to the same destination cannot be correct. Participate tonight on Facebook Live at 7:00 PM. View any of our previous classes on the Pequea Baptist Church Facebook page under "Live" or "Videos." A Firm Foundations playlist has been created so you can view any of the previous classes you have missed or would like to watch again.

Church Business Meeting- Sunday, September 13, following the Sunday morning service.

DNA Groups- To sign up for a DNA group, please fill out the DNA Interest Form. If you would like more information regarding what DNA groups are and their purpose, please look at DNA Information under the DNA tab on the Pequea Baptist Church website.

Operation Christmas Child- It's time to think about school supplies for our Operation Christmas Child shoe box ministry.  We are still planning to do a packing event this Fall, but it will look different than previous years.  Please click here for a list of needed items.

Softball- Monday, August 31, 6:30 PM, vs Leacock, Field #1 AND Tuesday, September 1, 8:15 PM, vs Calvary, Field #1.

Sunday Services- Sunday morning services continue to meet outdoors at 9:30 AM, weather permitting. Invite a friend, neighbor, family member, or coworker to attend with you. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. The Sunday worship service will be streamed on Facebook Live. It can be found on the Pequea Baptist Church page.

Families- Children's church will be held during the sermon time for children ages 4 through grade 3. There will be separately bagged, age-appropriate activities to do with children ages 3 through grade 6. You can find these packets available for pickup on Sunday outside of the gym doors.

Giving- The Pequea Church leadership cannot thank everyone enough for your steady and generous giving. Thank you! Instead of using the church's giving envelopes, everyone is encouraged to either give online, mail in your giving, or use an envelope from home to place your offering in the giving box located on the sidewalk near the gym doors.

Thank you for continuing to treat the building as closed. Please do not go inside other than to use the restroom.
