Cups and Conversation

On this week's Cups and Conversation with Clint, meet Don and Laura Shakespeare. This couple, who has known each other since they were quite young, has gone through two cycles of raising children! Find out their unique story. See below for this week's announcements.

Connecting Idea- Have coffee with someone. Many coffee shops are now open but you can also invite them to your house, or do a drive-thru and hang out at a park!

Bible Memory- This week's Scripture memory passage is a long one, James 1:12-18 in the ESV. Learning from the same Bible version will help us recite it together on Sunday mornings! Remember to review the previous weeks' verses as well.

New Wednesday Night Series- Pastor Clint will begin a new series tonight entitled, "What Was Important to Jesus?" This 9-week series will take a look at how Jesus modeled for us what we should do. A new, special guest will join Clint each week. Participate tonight on Facebook Live at 7:00 PM. View any of our previous Wednesday classes on the Pequea Baptist Church Facebook page under "Live" or "Videos."

Ladies Connect Campfire Nights- A time for women to enjoy fellowship, a little down time, encouragement, and prayer! These 6 nights will be held the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings of the month, September through November, 6:00-7:30 PM, at Melissa Oser's house. Click here for a full schedule and more information.

Church Business Meeting- Sunday, September 13, following the Sunday morning service.

DNA Groups- To sign up for a DNA group, please fill out the DNA Interest Form. If you would like more information regarding what DNA groups are and their purpose, please look at DNA Information under the DNA tab on the Pequea Baptist Church website.

Operation Christmas Child- It's time to think about school supplies for our Operation Christmas Child shoe box ministry.  We are still planning to do a packing event this Fall, but it will look different than previous years.  Please click here for a list of needed items.

Softball- Come cheer on the church softball team on Tuesday, Sep. 8, 7:30 PM, against Weaverland on Field #2.

Sunday Services- Sunday morning services continue to meet outdoors at 9:30 AM, weather permitting, but we will be changing back to 10:30 AM on September 20. Invite a friend, neighbor, family member, or coworker to attend with you. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. The Sunday worship service will be streamed on Facebook Live. It can be found on the Pequea Baptist Church page.

Families- Children's church will be held during the sermon time for children ages 4 through grade 3. There will be separately bagged, age-appropriate activities to do with children ages 3 through grade 6. You can find these packets available for pickup on Sunday outside of the gym doors.

Giving- The Pequea Church leadership cannot thank everyone enough for your steady and generous giving. Thank you! Instead of using the church's giving envelopes, everyone is encouraged to either give online, mail in your giving, or use an envelope from home to place your offering in the giving box located on the sidewalk near the gym doors.
