Where is "The Nest" school located?
The Nest Preschool and Kindergarten is located at Pequea Baptist Church, 6062 Old Philadelphia Pike. For tours or to ask additional questions, please call our office at (717) 442-4403 or fill out our contact form, and you will be contacted with the next steps.
When is "The Nest" registration deadline?
Your child must be registered for preschool or kindergarten by July 31. Registration opens in mid-January, and because class sizes are limited, we recommend registering as early as possible to secure your child’s spot. (Note: There is a sibling discount of 15% applied to students who already have a sibling enrolled at The Nest.)
What Is the average class size at "The Nest"?
Average class size depends on the number of students enrolled but will not exceed 8 students per class. This smaller class size allows teachers to give your child more individual attention, better understand their needs, and support their educational growth throughout the year.
Do I have to be a member of the church to send my children to this school?
No. Membership in this church is not required to send your children to The Nest for their education. However, if you choose to send your children to The Nest, we do ask you to sign an acknowledgment of Pequea Baptist Church’s statement of faith.
Are the teachers certified, and do they have clearances on file?
All of the teachers at The Nest have various certifications to ensure your child receives a solid educational foundation. However, not all teachers hold degrees. No matter what degrees or certifications a teacher may hold, all have appropriate clearances and are CPR/AED certified.
Do you partner with other schools for education past kindergarten?
After preschool and kindergarten, it can feel overwhelming to know which school option is the right fit for you and your student. At The Nest, we’re here to help you navigate that next step with confidence, so you can find an environment where your student can learn, grow, and flourish, whether that means homeschooling, public school, or private school.
Are "Full Day" and "Half Day" school options available every day?
Yes. If you are planning to send your children to The Nest, half-day and full-day options are available every day of the week. During conversations with our staff, we will be able to determine the best schedule for you and your child’s needs.
Is security in place At "The Nest"?
At The Nest, you want to know your child is safe, secure, and cared for. That is why we make safety a priority in everything we do. Our team has evacuation plans in place and practices drills throughout the year, so our staff know how to respond quickly and confidently if an emergency happens.
